Malaysia Alumni Association

About

Established in 1989, the University of Melbourne Alumni Association in Malaysia remains an active and vibrant community, successful in fostering bonds of fraternity among Malaysian graduates. The Association membership is strengthened by its multi-dimensional diversity – diverse cultural backgrounds, professional disciplines, personal interests and age groups. The Alumni Association also provides a way for alumni to help each other as well as prospective students, current students, and young alumni — who seek guidance in pursuing their education and starting their career.

Her particular interest is in creating oil and acrylic paintings, inspired by nature and her travels, that tell the story of her life journey. She is also a certified art therapist in Guided Drawing, a form of art therapy for mental health and general well-being. Lisa graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1998 with a double degree (Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law). In her free time, she loves to travel, spend time with her two teenage children, climb mountains, go diving, and play with her dog Chewie.

Naufal

Naufal Shukri, Treasurer

After studying chemistry at the University Melbourne, Naufal returned home to Malaysia for a stint in the flexible film manufacturing industry. He began his career in research and development for Biaxially-Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) films, researching sustainable solutions for the needs of converters and brand owners in the ever-changing landscape of packaging. Seeking a new challenge to grow his skill set in a completely different environment, Naufal joined Robert Walters as a specialist recruiter for the supply chain and engineering team in June 2021. His focus is on pairing top mid-to-senior level talents into technical supply chain positions with leading companies where they can excel and grow.
