Today, support is continued through an ongoing agreement where Gija Elders, and artists, help drive our teaching and research programs, while building their own knowledge of art practice and conservation skills. Gabriel Nodea, Chairman of Warmun Art Centre, says the agreement works.

The Grimwade Centre is sharing university knowledge and, at the same time, learning traditional Gija knowledge from Warmun. It’s a model for a proper way to bridge the gap.
