Wilson Society
The prestigious Wilson Society recognises donors who have made exceptional philanthropic contributions over time.
The society meets periodically for a formal ceremony of admission, providing an important opportunity for benefactors to interact with the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor and senior academics, to meet with other donors in the Society and to develop a more personal relationship with the University.
The Wilson Society is named in honour of Sir Samuel Wilson. In 1874, just 20 years after its founding, the University received a substantial gift from a pastoralist, Samuel Wilson, to build the first Wilson Hall. Sir Samuel’s gift is valued at more than $5 million net present value (NPV).
