Alumni discount on Asia TOPA, an Asia-Pacific arts and cultural festival
Following on from the inaugural Asia TOPA: Asia-Pacific Triennial of Performing Arts in 2017, the University of Melbourne is once again partnering with Arts Centre Melbourne in its second iteration, celebrating the creative imagination of artists and cultures in the Asia-Pacific region.
As a major partner, the University’s involvement in Asia TOPA 2020 spans two campuses (Parkville and Southbank) and involves a plethora of academics, professional staff and students across the University. The Faculty of Fine Arts and Music, Victorian College of the Arts is co-presenting three high-profile performances in the Martyn Myer Arena and Federation Hall: The Seen and Unseen, The Mysterious Lai Teck and Virtual Intimacy. And the New Student Precinct in conjunction with the University of Melbourne Student Union Theatre is co-presenting Oedipus Schmoedipus, a highly participatory work that tells a joyful, dark, irreverent and hilarious story about death.
Alumni of the University of Melbourne are eligible to receive a 15% discount on all of the above performances and additional full price standard adult tickets to select shows at Asia TOPA, including the spectacular, family-friendly bamboo circus À Ố Làng Phố and the world premiere of visionary director Garin Nugroho’s The Planet – A Lament.
