STEM alumni mentors wanted
The Faculty of Science and Melbourne School of Engineering’s 2019 STEM Industry Mentoring Program is open for mentor applications until 31 May. If you would like to develop your leadership skills, take a current student under your wing, or want to stay in touch with what our students are doing in their degrees now, this is a fantastic program. Find out more or apply online today.
- A pre-program, one-hour mentor training workshop will help you navigate the mentoring process, and allow you to network with other like-minded alumni and industry partners who are part of the program.
- At the start of the program, a mentoring reception will be hosted to allow all mentees, mentors and Faculty representatives to meet and mingle.
- Throughout the program, mentees and mentors meet at least three times (face-to-face is recommended, but video-calling is also an option), where you will be able to share your skills, experience and career advice. Your guidance will provide them with a valuable source of insight into their future.
"In my second year of participating in the Melbourne University STEM Industry Mentoring Program, I continue to find this program very professionally run and extremely rewarding. Helping someone to see the opportunities ahead of them and inspiring them to take the first steps is so worthwhile and I would highly recommend other alumni to get involved." Rebecca Lee, 2018 Mentor
