The University of Melbourne Alumni Association (Beijing) was established in December 2014. The Beijing Alumni Association is currently made up of 14 members led by the President and two Deputy Presidents. It has 4 committees to support its activities, including Welcome Home, Meet-ups, Charity and Outdoors teams. The University of Melbourne Alumni Association (Beijing) aims to enable Beijing-based alumni to connect with one another and continue and strengthen their affiliation with the University through the following ways:
- fostering an active interest among Beijing-based alumni in keeping connected with the UoM and with each other
- representing the University of Melbourne at profiling and recruitment functions
- organising professional, networking and social activities for alumni
- communicating Beijing-based alumni views, needs and interests to the University
- playing an active part in supporting University of Melbourne alumni activities

Dr Jessie Wong CPA AMA PhD, President
Jessie graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree and completed her PhD at Monash University. She established the University of Melbourne Alumni Association (Beijing) in 2014 and is currently President. Jessie is also a member of the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Business and Economics Alumni Council. Jessie is currently Partner with KPMG-China and is based in Beijing. Jessie is recipient of the 2012 Australian Education International Young Australia China Alumni of the Year Award presented by the Australia China Alumni Association. David Wang, Deputy President
David graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Information Technology degree in 2010. He was the Mentor, World Computer Clubhouse, Meadow Heights Learning Shop, Australia, as a Volunteer. He was the member of the Taekwondo, Karate and Aikido Club of the University of Melbourne. He joined the Beijing Alumni Association very early and always came alumni activities. He was the speaker of the 2016 Welcome Home Event and the MC of the 2017 Welcome Home Event. He was one of the main makers of Alumni 3
rd anniversary video. He has been the Deputy President of Beijing Alumni Association since 2018.
王大维先生2010年毕业于墨尔本大学，取得信息技术硕士学位。曾在全球计算机俱乐部会所墨尔本地区分部担任教学顾问志愿者，期间亦是墨尔本大学跆拳道俱乐部成员，空手道、合气道俱乐部初学者。在北京校友会创立初期便加入组织，经常参与重大校友会活动，曾担任2016年Welcome Home Event 演讲嘉宾，2017年Welcome Home Event主持人，校友会3周年庆祝视频主要制作人之一。2018年起担任北京校友会副主席。
王大维先生曾在墨尔本就职于澳大利亚Go Easy Online公司，在本部担任信息技术分析师。目前在北京就职于中国人寿保险股份有限公司研发中心人力资源处，任高级主管一职。
Ningyu (Raine) Zhang, Deputy President
Raine Zhang graduated from Renmin University of China with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, and then completed her Master of Finance course in Graduate School of Business and Economics in University of Melbourne. Raine worked as an auditor in Deloitte Beijing branch before studying the master course in Melbourne. After coming back to China, she worked as a real estate valuer in Colliers International for more than six years. Currently, she works in Sinoocean Group which is one of China’s top developers listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Raine actively participated in volunteer and exchange activities when studying in the University of Melbourne. She was a team member for the research project in Goulburn Valley Health, Shepparton, Australia. Also, she was a volunteer of the 2010 Melbourne Marathon. Raine Joined the UoM Alumni Association (Beijing) in end 2014 and was nominated as one of the Deputy Presidents. She would like to dedicate her time and more efforts to better serve the Beijing-based alumni.
Fang Ran, General Secretary and Treasurer
Fang graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Econometrics) in 2012 and completed her Master of Economics degree at Melbourne Business School in 2014. During her university studies, she undertook two exchange programs and was the recipient of two scholarships. Fang is passionate about volunteer works and has been working as a volunteer for a number of non-profit organizations including Cancer Council Victoria and Sacred Heart Mission. She was actively involved in student life at the University of Melbourne through various student clubs, programs and was the recipient of the Leaders in Communities Award. Fang was the founding member for University of Melbourne Beijing Alumni Association, and she is currently serving as the general secretary and treasurer. Fang is currently working at IBM China.
